Police spokesman in Hail Lt. Col. Abdul Aziz Al-Zinaidi said the man fled from the scene after committing the crime, but his abandoned vehicle was found after a tip from a local resident. He was later discovered hiding in a nearby mountainous area.

The woman, in her 40s, is still under treatment at a local hospital.
