"The meeting discussed the ongoing work on Diriyah developmental projects, where 85 percent of infrastructure in the Al-Turaif neighborhood has been completed and 45 percent of historic buildings and palaces repaired," said Abdullatif Al-Asheikh, chairman of projects and planning center at ADA.

He said that a contract was signed to build Diriyah Museum at Salwa Palace, Imam Muhammed bin Saud Mosque, Sheikh Muhammed bin Abdul-Wahab Bridge, the Trade and Finance Center, Diriyah Documentation Center, Turaif Market and the visitors' center.

Al-Asheikh said that a new contract would be signed next year for the improvement of corridors and landscapes inside Al-Turaif and provide them with lights and guide signs and repair historic buildings overlooking the corridors.

He added that 45 percent of the Sheikh Muhammed bin Abdul-Wahab Foundation had been completed. Roads and lanes leading to Diriyah and infrastructure networks in addition to parking lots have also been completed.

The executive committee for the development of Diriyah announced the establishment of the Mud Building Center at King Saud University. 

At the end of the meeting, Al-Asheikh said, Prince Sultan bin Salman, chairman of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), presented to Prince Salman a certificate for the Al-Turaif site, which is now on the UNESCO heritage list.
