- ABHA: Police have issued a statement on Tuesday denying reports published in local daily newspapers that a woman at a police station in Asir stabbed members of the Commission to Promote Virtue and Prevent Vice.
The statement said that the woman, in her 30s, was arrested because of a case filed against her.
The woman wanted to take her four-year-old daughter with her after she was transferred to a girls’ care home. There was an argument between the mother and police as well as a commission member. The matter was resolved shortly and there was no stabbing incident, the statement added.
