A Yemeni security official says a US Embassy vehicle was attacked Wednesday. The American official says it is not yet clear if the Americans were embassy personnel. Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the press.

The US Embassy in Sanaa put out a statement on its website that “foreign residents ... were targeted for attack” Wednesday, but it does not give further detail.
