- DAMMAM: Police recently arrested three teenage jewel thieves while they were attempting to sell some of their ill-gotten goods at a shopping complex in Jubail.
The arrested were Saudis aged between 14 and 19. While the older two stole jewelry from houses, the youngest was responsible for selling them.
However, a jeweler grew suspicious of the boy when he offered to sell him the valuable articles at a cheap price and called police.
After questioning him, officers learned about the gang and arrested the other members, said police spokesman Lt. Col. Ziyad Al-Raqiti. Police are continuing to investigate.
