- RIYADH: An auction selling coveted STC mobile numbers was recently held at the Makarim Hall in Riyadh and generated SR2 million for charities such as the Prince Fahd bin Salman Charitable Society for the Care of Kidney Failure Patients, Insan Charity Organization and the Disabled Children’s Association.
Some 60 mobile numbers were sold at the event that was attended by prominent culture, sports and media personalities. The auction was divided into three parts according (diamond, silver and gold) according to the type of number.
Prince Faisal bin Turki bin Nasir, head of the board of directors at Al-Nasr Club, bought some SR100,000 worth of numbers. Abdul Rahman Bagluf bought a number for SR560,000. He said he made the purchase because of the charity element.
