- JEDDAH: Effat University celebrated on Tuesday the announcement of the names of architecture students who have received scholarships from the Construction Products Holding Company (CPC), which will provide them with the opportunity to train at the company’s headquarters in Jeddah during the summer.
Haifa Jamal Al-Lail, president of Effat University, expressed thanks to CPC for supporting the university. “The CPC initiative should be an example for all big companies in Saudi Arabia to transfer the Kingdom into a knowledgeable society where boys and girls can participate in its development,” she said.
The initiative was also praised by Faysal Alaquil, director of business development & administration affairs and secretary to the board of directors at CPC. “As a citizen of Saudi Arabia, I can openly admit that we have come a long way in the development of girls education… the fate of our nation will depend on how and what we do today. This will only succeed when our girls are well educated,” he said.
He said that many large corporations in the Middle East are contributing to this cause and that he is proud that CPC is among those companies.
