The racecourse, located in Sunbury-on-Thames, 16 miles from the center of London, failed to pass an inspection on Friday.

The King George has been rescheduled for Monday but the course will hold an inspection at 1400 on Sunday to determine if racing can go ahead. The cold snap has decimated jumps racing fixtures this month.

Champion Tony McCoy has come in for the ride on Kauto Star r Ruby Walsh and replacement Noel Fehily are out of action.

McCoy is on track for a 16th jump jockeys' title in succession and victory on Kauto Star would seal a memorable year when McCoy finally ended his Grand National jinx after 14 previous defeats.

It would also take Kauto Star past the great Desert Orchid who won the race four times between 1986-90.

Cheltenham Gold Cup winner in 2007 and 2009, Kauto Star is even-money favorite and trainer Paul Nicholls has described him as "in amazing form." The horse won on his seasonal debut and barring any jumping errors, which is not fully guaranteed, he looks poised to enter the record books.

Long Run, the 5-1 second favorite, is the young pretender who won a novices race over course and distance a year ago and could make the grade.

Irish raider Forpadydeplasterer (10-1) has finished runner-up in his last seven races since his finest hour in 2009 when he won the Arkle Trophy at Cheltenham.

He would not be scoring out of turn.
