The three Saudi men were at a gas station store when they noticed the seven Ethiopians carrying out a robbery. The Saudis went outside and locked all doors to the store to prevent the men from leaving. They then called the police.The seven men used to live in a mountain behind the gas station and would often come and steal from the shop. A group of other Ethiopians then came to free their friends inside the store but when they saw the three Saudis armed with light weapons, they retreated into the mountains.A police unit came and arrested the seven men. Police also found SR10,000 in the possession of one of the men. It is thought the money was stolen. The men also had a number of cell phones in their possession. Local residents have often complained of the danger posed by illegal migrants who they say are responsible for crimes in the area.
