- TABUK: The governor’s office in Tabuk denied a media report that there were some deaths by drowning in the recent rains and floods in the province.
“What has been published by the media on Friday about deaths in Tabuk because of rains is absolutely unfounded. No death occurred in any place in the province because of the rains or flash floods,” Director of Public Relations in the governorate Ali Al-Qahtani said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency on Friday.
He said the authorities were geared up to face any situation since the moment the Presidency of the Meteorology and Environmental Protection issued warnings about the weather. He added that Tabuk Gov. Prince Fahd bin Sultan has been closely watching developments in the province.
