Khan, who is on a five-day official visit to the Kingdom with an 18-member business mission, also attended a reception ceremony organized by the Bangladeshi community in Riyadh Tuesday night.

The reception was attended by top Bangladeshi officials and members of the ministerial delegation including M.S. Shekil Chawdhury, chairperson of Center for the Dhaka-based NRB Investment and Remittance, and Ambassador Islam and Haroon-ur Rashid, embassy labor officer. The event was attended by about 400 Bangladeshi expatriates including businessmen, doctors and executives.

Referring to the progressively growing relations between Riyadh and Dhaka, Khan said that the avoidance of double taxation accord would go a long way in, "facilitating further cooperation between the two brotherly nations." Khan, who has had several meetings with senior officials and business leaders in Riyadh, said that he discussed means for further enhancement of cooperation, particularly in the fields of investment and trade.

The Saudi business leaders at the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry evinced their keen interests to explore the possibility of importing Bangladesh products, said M. Mizanur Rahman, a spokesman of the Bangladesh Embassy.

"The quality of Bangladeshi products is high, but the market share of our goods is small because of the lack of promotion and marketing drive," said a press statement released on this occasion.

The statement said that a range of Bangladesh-made products including medicines, ceramic products, jute and jute products, frozen fish and leather goods.
