- RIYADH: The Court of Cassation in Riyadh endorsed on Thursday the punishment of a man convicted in a cyber crime involving the theft of SR15,700 ($4,200) from the bank account of another Saudi.
The Riyadh General Court had handed him four-year prison term and 800 lashes. Riyadh police arrested the man after a Saudi complained that his bank account was illegally accessed and plundered. Police investigators tracked down the perpetrator, who had a criminal record, and established his identity.
