The Cabinet meeting, which was chaired by Crown Prince Sultan, deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, commended the content of a speech by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah at a conference on the quality of general education in Riyadh. Education Minister Prince Faisal bin Abdullah delivered the speech on behalf of the king.

In his address at the conference, King Abdullah urged officials in charge of education and training in the Kingdom to implement quality programs to achieve greater successes. The government gives top priority to education and training with the 2011 budget allocating SR150 billion for the sector.

The Cabinet commended Saudi security forces for their efforts in tracking down suspected terrorists. The Interior Ministry has published a list of 47 wanted terror suspects still at large in countries including Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq. The Cabinet urged the militants to surrender, adding that doing so would be taken into consideration while looking into their cases.

Culture and Information Minister Abdul Aziz Khoja said the Cabinet approved an agreement with Vietnam for cooperation in petroleum, gas and minerals.
