“A lucrative drug market would not exist if it was not for the money laundering. Security officials, the media and educators have a large role to play in uncovering the schemes and operations of these criminals,” said Prince Naif, who is also chairman of the National Committee for Narcotic Control (NCNC). He was opening the NCNC’s headquarters in Riyadh on Sunday.

The prince also stressed the responsibility of all citizens in combating drug-related crimes.

The prince toured an accompanying exhibition in which he was briefed on the achievements of anti-narcotic officials and the Customs Department in foiling many drug smuggling attempts over the past two years.

Prince Naif also chaired the NCNC’s third session, which discussed the programs of national institutions that support the NCNC.
