- JEDDAH: Residents of Jeddah’s Al-Rabwa district have called on the authorities to repair roads and remove stagnant pools of water which they say are breeding grounds for insects and may leak into clean underground water storage tanks.
The complaints were made when members of the Municipal Council visited the district and met residents. Members of the council also noticed that many of the roads that had been previously repaired were damaged.
One of the members, Bassam Akhdar, said the district will be repaired soon and that Jeddah municipality has made plans to do so. He also promised to follow up on the repairs with the relevant government departments.
