Most vendors want to show off their latest laptops at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) which was held in the US at the beginning of this month. This means that shortly some nicely loaded notebooks will be arriving at an electronics store near you.

The most beautiful new laptop is from Samsung. The Samsung 13.3-inch 9 Series is a durable, ultra premium, lightweight laptop computer that offers mobile professionals and power users a sophisticated laptop equally suited for work and entertainment. To keep its weight under three pounds, Samsung created the 9 Series out of Duralumin, typically found in advanced aircraft. Duralumin is twice as durable as aluminum.

The 9 Series has a flowing design creating a rounded silhouette with a thin 0.64 inch profile. It features an LED-backlit SuperBright Plus display with 400-nit brightness. The screen has a 100,000:1 contrast ratio and true-to-life color reproduction (16 million colors). The wide screen offers a 160-degree viewing angle and the laptop’s ambient light sensor adjusts the display brightness based on surrounding lighting conditions.

The 9 Series runs on an Intel Core i5 processor. Its lithium polymer batteries provide 6.5 hours of battery life on average. For convenience and connectivity, the new 9 Series is equipped with USB 3.0, Bluetooth 3.0, built-in WiMax and it utilizes the latest in Wi-Fi and USB Sleep & Charge technologies. The Samsung 9 Series is scheduled to be available in February starting at $1,600.

Samsung’s 9 Series is beautiful in form, but Dell is offering two laptops that are stunning when it comes to power. Alienware from Dell has introduced the 17-inch M17x R3. It’s Alienware’s first 3D-capable gaming laptop. Besides HDMI-out, the laptop allows HDMI-in. It also features Intel i5 and i7 quad-core processors, wireless HD capability, a FHD WLED 120Hz display, USB 3.0 and support for up to 32GB RAM. There are two graphics options and the 3D bundle is extra. Its price starts at $1500 and fully loaded it retails for about $4,500. For a machine that’s powerful but slightly more affordable, Dell has beefed up its XPS 17-inch laptop, which is also 3D capable. It features JBL sound with an integrated subwoofer, HD screen and HD video streaming with Skype. It runs Intel’s Core i7 processor and fully loaded retails for about $3,000.

But what if you don’t want to give up a month’s salary for a laptop but you still yearn for something fashionable? Then consider the HP Pavilion dm1z. Thin and light, the HP Pavilion dm1z delivers notebook performance in a compact, stylish design. It offers an 11.6-inch diagonal high-definition BrightView display, and is equipped with HP CoolSense Technology, which results in a notebook that feels noticeably cooler - excellent for Saudi Arabia! This laptop runs a dual-core AMD Fusion processor E350 and AMD Radeon HD 6310 discrete-class graphics with support for DirectX11. The HP Pavilion dm1z’s battery life is over ten hours, it offers up to 750 gigabytes of storage and Dolby Advanced Audio. Starting price on the HP Pavilion dm1z is an affordable $450.
