Pablo Rossello is visiting the Kingdom to introduce the council’s creative projects and discuss means of cooperation in developing them in a way that serves those who implement them and society at large.

Rossello reviewed the council’s support for creative programs in the Kingdom as a new phase in the cultural industry, as well as the role of the digital industry.

Through a PowerPoint presentation, Rossello explained the importance of creative cultural programs, such as media, arts and crafts, cinematography, video games and music, as a means through which individuals could express themselves and their cultures.

“A contentious industry” is how Rossello described the creative industry, indicating that it grows and flourishes as long as it is well monopolized and maintained.

The interaction and cooperation between members of this industry, according to Rossello, is essential as long as it springs from the core of society and the local environment and can be exported to other parts of the world.

Rossello pointed out that tourism is considered a major creative program around the world, stressing it was essential to develop the administrative and management elements of any creative programs, such as carnivals and museums, to reach out to people.

Rossello stressed the council’s efforts in supporting creators and artists, indicating that there are scholarships for self-development, especially those programs new to society and which cater for those in the creative industry.
