Local police spokesman Lt. Col. Abdul Aziz Al-Zinaidi said the suspect was driving the dead man's car when he was apprehended. It is unclear if the vehicle was stolen in a fatal carjacking. The suspect was reportedly found carrying the weapon used in the homicide.

The body was found by locals in Nisaiyah village, Hail province. Medical examiners said the man died from gunshot wounds.
