The meeting, which took place at King Faisal Convention Center at KAU, discussed a wide range of topics, including JCC’s new programs and services and current activities for the current academic year 2010-2011.

Attendance at the meeting included JCC’s Dean professor Ibrahim Kutbi, its Vice Dean Mamdouh Qari and Vice Dean for Development Rashad Al-Hindi, as well as chairmen of academic departments at the college, representatives of various governmental and private sectors and several college students, among others.

JCC's advisory council was established in 2004 and was created to support the college's vision of preparing highly qualified graduates to fulfill labor market needs and strengthening ties with the private sector.

The council meets twice a year and consists of 25 members, including KAU's vice president and representatives from the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, the Human Resources Development Fund, the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Education and major companies and business corporations in Jeddah.

The college offers evening programs to both working Saudis and expatriate students, including e-commerce courses through its distance-learning program, specialized short courses for the community and partial scholarships to outstanding students. The college also offers student exchange programs with Greenwich Community College in the UK.
