Speaking at his meeting with Pakistan Consul General Abdul Salik Khan on Sunday, Riaz said: “Azad Kashmir has vast investment potential in various fields, especially in hydropower generation.”

The minister said Pakistan wanted peace and prosperity in the (Himalayan) region for which the Kashmir issue must be resolved. He appreciated the efforts of Saudi leadership and the Organization of the Islamic Conference for peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue.

He also thanked Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah for assisting Pakistan during difficult times.

Sarfraz Ahmad, minister for commerce at the consulate, was present along with the minister's delegation that included Sardar Iqbal, Ghulam Nabi Butt, and Raja Shamroz.

The consul general spoke about the presence of 1.6 million Pakistanis in the Kingdom who are a big source of foreign exchange for Pakistan, and apprised the minister of the interest of Saudi investors in Pakistan.
