MALAPPURAM: The vice president of Kerala state scholars association (Jami'athul Ulama) and a prominent scholar Nellikuthu Ismail Musliyar, 72, died at a private hospital in Perinthalmanna on Sunday. He was the vice principal of Jamia Markazu Ssaqafathi Ssunniyya since its inception. He was also a geological scholar. Musliyar wrote several books on different topics such as unity of God, schools of thoughts in Islam, Islamic economics. He also translated some Arabic books into Malayalam.
