“The Higher Education Ministry has approved our plan, which includes immediate return of students studying in places far away from tsunami ravaged areas and nuclear radiation,” said Abdul Aziz Turkistani, ambassador to Japan.“We have decided to shift all students who were studying in Sendai, the worst-hit area, to universities and institutes in Tokyo and Osaka, except medical students of Tohoku University,” the ambassador said.He said students studying in Tokyo and surrounding areas should return between April 18 and 25. The newly selected students for the King Abdullah Foreign Scholarship will be traveling to Japan on May 10, 2011, he pointed out.
