Fighter jets were scrambled to escort the Heathrow-bound Etihad Airways jet to Stansted Airport north of London in January after auto worker James Glen told a flight attendant that another passenger had a gun and had threatened to blow himself up. Glen admitted communicating information about a bomb hoax. His lawyer said Glen had been drinking and had taken an antihistamine drug.
