“Willing Willie” host Willie Revillame says he’s taking a two-week leave after which he’ll announce if he’ll still return to television.

Angry viewers and commentators have launched a campaign on social-networking sites to remove Revillame, accusing him of poor taste and mocking his mostly impoverished audience with a segment last month showing a 6-year-old boy crying while gyrating as a striptease dancer.

The outcry led major sponsors to pull out.

TV5 network said Monday it wants to work on guidelines for the participation of children in TV shows.
