“This is an expansion of the network of services rendered by the ministry in the field of providing training and postgraduate programs for health personnel in the Eastern Province,” Al-Rabeeah said, adding that the new facility would serve around 80,000 medics and paramedics in the private and the public sectors in the region.

The minister stressed that upcoming health projects in the central, Makkah and eastern regions demonstrate the multiple developments taking place in the sector.

The contract was awarded to Riyadh-based Albawani Company. According to the agreement, the project is to be completed within 22 months.

Abdulaziz Al-Sayegh, secretary-general of the SCHS, explained that the proposed project is a three-story building built on an area of 15,267 sq. meters.

The commission, with 14 branches throughout the Kingdom, is self-funded.
