The officials included Consul (Passport) Madan Lal Raigar, Vice Consul (Community Welfare-I), Sita Ram Meena, Vice Consul Anil Naib and Vice Consul Chitra Naib.

The association also honored Abdullah Moopan who is returning home for good after a stay of over 28 years. Moopan became popular with the community for his involvement in and encouragement of sports, education, social and community welfare activities. Indian Consul (Consular) Pranav Ganesh was the chief guest.

IYWA's General Secretary Mir Gazanfar Ali Zaki and Chief Patron L. Ramnarayan Iyer put on record the services of the consulate officials and Moopan to the community. Moopan told the community to strive hard for creating competition in the field of education through creativity, excellence and prudence.

“It's the responsibility of the educated youth to transform the underprivileged by making them educated and skilled, and encourage the talented youngsters to take up challenging  carriers. The youth should be engaged in sports activity to develop the sportsman spirit while striving for excellence in whatever they do, he added.

IYWA also offered their congratulations to Team India for lifting the Cricket World Cup 2011.
