Al-Hasa Chamber Commerce and Industry President Saleh Al-Afaleq said a large number of businessmen from all around the Kingdom and Gulf Cooperation Council states have confirmed their participation. The area already has benefited from tremendous investment in various fields, including tourism, education and construction activity.

“The forum aims to transform the challenges facing investors in the region into successful opportunities with investment return for the individual, the business and the region,” said Al-Afaleq. “The outcome of this forum will accordingly have a positive effect on the growth of the region’s economy.”

The forum intends to conceptualize an appropriate investment climate in regional development areas. It will explore mechanisms for preparing government establishments in order to facilitate and investments in key areas.

The event is being jointly organized by the Al-Hasa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Al-Eqtisadiah, a sister publication of Arab News. Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities Chairman Prince Sultan bin Salman, Minister of Commerce and Industry Abdullah Zainal Alireza, Deputy Labor Minister Abdul Wahed Al-Humaid, Agriculture Minister Fahd Balghunaim and Hana Al-Zuhair, the executive manager of Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Fund for Supporting Small Business Projects for Women, will be speaking at and chairing different sessions.
