In a statement released by the French Embassy in Riyadh, France said it firmly supports the Pakistani and Saudi governments in the fight against terrorism.

Hassan Misfer Al-Qahtani, a member of the security staff at the consulate, was on his way to work on Monday when he was shot dead by men on a motorcycle in Karachi.

The Kingdom denounced the assassination and expressed its confidence in the ability of Pakistani authorities to track down the criminals behind the attack and bring them to justice.
