“In addition to the annual Jeddah Economic Forum and the Jeddah Commercial Forum, there will be a sports forum. We plan to make Jeddah a city of forum and conferences,” said Adnan Mandoura, JCCI Secretary General.

He said the sports committee of the chamber met on Sunday to set up a working team, choose topics, select speakers and establish mechanisms for the organization of the event, which will be the first of this kind in the Kingdom.

The chairman of the sport investment committee at the chamber, Abdullah bin Ali Al-Ghamdi, said that latest arrangements and efforts are being made to make the forum a success and reflect the Kingdom’s achievements in the field of sports.

He expected the forum to obtain immense public and private attention and said he would discuss privatization of sports clubs and the establishment of private sport projects.

“The establishment of sports centers, athletics halls, covered swimming pools and other facilities will also be discussed by the forum,” he said adding that the establishment of horse stalls, which require big capital, will also come under consideration.
