- JEDDAH: Pakistan Consul General Abdul Salik Khan called on Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu Tuesday to deposit the instrument of ratification of the revised charter of the OIC, signed by Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari.
The ceremony was attended by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Additional Secretary (United Nations) Munawar Saeed Bhatti. Saeed is currently leading a Pakistani delegation for the senior officials’ meeting preparatory to the 38th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers being held at the OIC Secretariat in Jeddah.
Ambassador Abdul Moiz Bokhari, assistant secretary general, OIC and Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, deputy permanent representative of Pakistan to the OIC, were also present.
