Sources said Shaikh's vehicle came under heavy gunfire by unknown attackers in Firdous Colony of the port city late Sunday.

He escaped unhurt but two of his subordinates were injured in the attack. Shaikh was traveling in a bullet-proof vehicle. Bullets hit windscreen of his vehicle.

Shaikh is Zardari's personal bodyguard since 2004.
