Hend Al-Nahedh, general manager of Ghalia Club, said: “We participated in this social and economic women’s forum in support of the role women play in promoting and strengthening the development of our beloved country Kuwait.”

She said Ghalia seeks, through the development of Kuwaiti women in the economic sphere, to contribute to the Kuwait development plan.

She highlighted the importance of using modern technology, especially social networking sites, as a means of self-employment and promotion of thought and stated that Ghalia’s website, Ghalia.com.kw, which will be launched soon, will reflect the importance of such tools.

Al-Nahedh pointed out that the conference has highlighted the importance and means of social communication and effective role of women in the development of thought and literature.

A series of courses and workshops in the area of small business development were held alongside the conference.

The conference discussed key issues relating to women, such as providing an appropriate environment for the establishment of effective women leaders.

It also studied ways to offer women the opportunity to display their skills and capabilities, and enable women leaders participating in this conference to share their experiences in their respective fields, in addition to providing women with the appropriate training.

Ghalia was established to serve the community by helping its members to find security and financial independence.

Its objective will be achieved through the training on investment and wealth management concepts and techniques, providing members with the opportunity to interact with other investors through its network of experts, and supporting the future generation of women investors through interactive and innovative methods that include shadowing and mentoring programs.
