- RIYADH: Saudi authorities have imposed a travel ban on a number of countries including Thailand and urged travel and tourism agencies not to promote travel to these blacklisted Asian nations.
The Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry has instructed travel and tourism agencies and relevant organizations that are also its members to abide by the travel ban.
“Nonabidance of the travel ban on Thailand by these agencies would be considered a violation of the law and those who promote travel to these banned countries would be questioned by authorities,” the chamber said.
The chamber has already distributed a circular in this respect, which was issued by the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry on the instructions of the Interior Ministry.
