“However, detainees who the Legal Committee exempt from attending the programs need not undergo the reform programs,” he added.
He added the center used to publish periodically the number of detainees released after undergoing the program.
After 22 detainees who successfully underwent the rehabilitation programs were released two days ago, a further group of 100 were sent to the center, the spokesman said.
He added that their time at the center would last up to four months.
The ministry released 184 people during the first three months of the year, he said.
The number of Saudi militants reintegrated into the mainstream through the rehabilitation program has reached 343.
