- Prince Khaled Al-Faisal opened the Second Social Development Forum at Jeddah Hilton on Saturday.
Jeddah Gov. Prince Mishaal bin Majed, who is the forum's chairman, emphasized the role of individuals in boosting the country's development by taking part in various constructive programs.
Prince Mishaal said efforts were under way to implement the proposals made by the last forum. The forum was organized the Prince Majed bin Abdulaziz Society for Development and Social Services.
Prominent participants include Education Minister Prince Faisal bin Abdullah, Health Minister Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, Social Affairs Minister Yousuf Al-Othaimeen, Labor Minister Adel Fakeih. The speakers will evaluate the developmental return of social work and formulate a strategic plan to standardize such activities.
Al-Othaimeen will give an update of his ministry's development projects while Fakieh and Ali Al-Ghafees, governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, will look at efforts to achieve economic sustainability.
Amr Al-Dabbagh, governor of SAGIA, will reveal his organization's efforts to stimulate partnerships with foreign investors and foster social responsibility programs.
