An assurance to this effect was reportedly given to Pakistan’s Consul General Abdul Salik Khan when he called on the governor at his Najran office. Khan said he brought to the governor's notice some urgent problems facing the community in the region.

Mishaal said Pakistan was a brotherly country and was dear to the Saudi leadership.

He appreciated the contributions of the community to the development and prosperity of the Kingdom. He assured Khan of his help in resolving the problems on a priority basis. Khan said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy close fraternal relations.

“Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are strategic partners and the two states share a common strategic vision,” he said, adding that Saudi Arabia has always helped Pakistan during its difficult times.

Earlier, Khan held a community meeting here and discussed with compatriots issues relating to their welfare. He told them that all possible steps would be taken to enhance their comforts and resolve their problems.
