Committee spokesman Jidaie Al-Qahtani said vetting of the lists of candidates would start on June 25 and conclude on June 27 and finalized by July 4.

Talking to the Saudi Press Agency, he said Monday was the last day for any objections to the names of voters contained in the lists, which were published at balloting centers early last week. “The final lists of eligible voters will be announced on July 18,” he said.

Al-Qahtani said any nominee who wishes to withdraw his candidacy would have six days to do so from the date the preliminary lists of candidates are published on June 25.

Al-Qahtani said objections with full reasons should be handed over to the chairman of the scrutiny committee in each constituency.

He said if there were any allegations of a criminal nature, they would be conveyed to the relevant departments.
