- JEDDAH: As many as 18,000 electricity subscribers in Jeddah suffered on Monday because of an outage caused by a fault in the transport network, the Saudi Electricity Company said.
The power cut began at 2.47 p.m. and continued for more than four hours.
"We were able to restore supply to 80 percent of subscribers within four hours," the company said in a statement, adding that it affected people and businesses in Kandara, Sharafiya, Ammariya and Sahifa districts. SEC apologized to the affected subscribers.
