Chairman of the organizing committee Prince Abdullah bin Saud bin Muhammad Al-Saud said the festival will consist of more than 100 tourist and entertainment programs that will suit all age groups and social segments.

“The activities will be held in various locations in Jeddah to reflect the tourist and civilization features of the Red Sea coastal city,” he said.

Prince Abdullah, who is also the chairman of the Tourism Committee at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said all preparations have been completed for the event.

He said the activities of the festival will for the first time cover the holy month of Ramadan and the Eid.

“We will focus on diversity of contents and the ways of presentation so as to enable visitors to spend a hilarious time,” he added.

Prince Abdullah also said a comprehensive media and promotional campaign will be launched during the days of the festival.

“There will be thorough coverage of the events,” he explained.

The festival, which was held for the first time in 1999, will this year be organized by the JCCI.

“The chamber will deploy all its potential to make the festival a resounding success,” the chairman said.

Prince Abdullah said there will be special prizes amounting to SR110,000. The amount will be divided equally between the best news coverage of the festival and the best coverage of Ramadan activities.

More than four million visitors from Saudi Arabia and abroad are expected to visit the festival, which is expected to make proceeds of more than SR4 billion.
