He commended hotel owners in the province for reducing charges. "I have noticed big changes in hotels of the region and their owners understand the need for offering reasonable prices to visitors," he said.

Prince Sultan called for a separate authority for conferences and events. Last year, the Cabinet set up a special committee for the purpose.

He said the decision taken by SCTA board on extending the period of renting tourist spots for investment would have a dramatic impact. "You will see some spots in Asir rented for 60 years," he added.
