“The contract includes modernization of electronic services at 390 judicial departments in various parts of the Kingdom,” said Al-Eissa, adding that it would be completed within nine months.

The new schemes come as part of King Abdullah Project for the Development of Judicial Facilities. “We give top priority for the success of this project,” he said.

He said application of modern electronic systems at courts and other judicial facilities would contribute to speeding up judicial procedures.

“The setting up of a data center and completion of the computer network are basic requirements for improving services at courts and notaries and help them provide their services in a safe and secure manner,” the minister said.

He said the ministry has introduced a number of electronic services through its website during the past months. “We have also linked all courts and notaries with a computer system,” he added.

Majed Al-Adwan, manager of IT at the ministry, said the data would include all judicial laws and regulations. He said the project also includes establishment of a monitoring center and network management.
