- MAKKAH: The Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Haia) in Makkah arrested a young man and two women after its members found them involved in illegal sexual relations in a hotel in the Zahir district.
According to a police source, two Saudi youths staying in the bachelor’s area in adjoining rooms arranged for two women who they had met outside the hotel to enter their rooms.
The women entered the rooms using keys the youths had hidden under a carpet. The hidden hotel camera showed the women, one of them an Indonesian, entering the rooms.
After a while, one youth returned and entered his room, prompting the hotel receptionist to call the Haia.
The members arrived and waited at the reception until the youth came out of his room. The officials then checked the room and found evidence of sexual activity.
The second youth fled after he saw the Haia members at the counter when he finally returned. Officials ordered the woman waiting in his room to come out and contacted her father. Police are investigating the case.
