- JEDDAH: The body of a boy, who was reported missing last week was found in a waste bag in an abandoned building in Taif on Wednesday, police said.
Police earlier launched a search after the four-year-old boy's father complained to police that his son went missing on Tuesday last week and may have been kidnapped.
The family's housemaid was initially suspected in the boy's disappearance but the discovery of the body showed evidences pointing to the wife of the child's father as the suspect.
The maid told detectives that she found the father's wife going out of the bathroom carrying a bag in a suspicious manner on the night before the complaint was filed.
It was reported in local media earlier that the father said the boy's mother and his brothers were in terrible condition after his disappearance last week. In a letter sent to the media, the father urged the kidnappers to feel what he, the father, feels about missing his son.
The mother said that she would forgive the kidnapper if he returned her son. It was reported earlier that the four-year-old child sneaked out of the house to the street to play before his missing. Eyewitnesses said they saw him playing at a nearby construction site. Others said he was seen sitting near a mosque.
