Durant told The Associated Press on Thursday that the players “just want the owners to listen to us” and not make vast changes to the league’s collective bargaining agreement that was set to expire at midnight.

Commissioner David Stern said he’d recommend to the labor relations committee that the players be locked out after negotiations with the NBA players’ association failed to produce a new CBA.

Durant tells AP the players believe the current CBA has been working well and “there’s no need to change it.” Durant says “no matter how long the lockout’s going to take, we’re going to stand up. We’re not going to give in.”
