Mohammed Zaigham Khan, outgoing AMUOBA president presented his chair to Shams at a ceremony organized at the Sholay Restaurant for the new nine-member AMUOBA team. The program was presided over by senior alumni Tariq Masood.

The new AMUOBA (Riyadh) team with a two-year tenure is composed of Shams (president), Mohammed Ahmed Badshah (vice president), Salman Khalid (general secretary) and Amir Jamil (treasurer).

The new AMUOBA executive members are S. Mohammed Mutayyab, M. Faisal Naseem, Shoeb Khowaja, Arsalan Ahmad and Syed M. Anas.

Shams promised that he and his team would work for the betterment of the alumni in particular and for Indian expatriates in general. Certificates of appreciations were also presented to office bearers.

Paying rich tributes to the founder of the university, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, he assured the alumni of representing their sentiments and carrying forward their wishes. Assuring the new office bearers of his full cooperation, Zaigham Khan gave a visual presentation about the achievements of his two-year term and explained the sources of income and expenditure, which cumulatively exceeded half a million riyals for two years. The ceremony that began with the recitation of Holy Qur’an ended with a dinner and a note of camaraderie.
