Four-year-old Ahmad was found dead in an abandoned building last Wednesday. The father said that he received a phone call from officers the same day summoning him and his wife to a police station.

“When I arrived at the station, I found our maid sitting in the room with investigators and a translator,” he said.

“Police asked my wife to go inside the room and told me to wait outside. Ten minutes later, police officers exited the room with my wife and took her in a separate car.” He said he was told that Ahmad was fine and that he was with an old woman at a certain location after being separated from the stepmother.

“I was following them and my wife was giving them the directions to an abandoned building. Police forced me to stay in the car while my wife went inside the building. Officers were constantly telling me that my son was fine.”

The father said he had the shock of his life when he saw police officers exiting the building with the body of his son. He could not believe that his wife, who had helped raise Ahmad since he was eight-months-old, was the prime suspect.

He said during the nine days Ahmad had been missing, she had refused to eat and was always asking about the little boy.

The father said Ahmad’s mother had not asked about her son since they divorced, even though it was reported that she had filed for custody of the child.

“I work in the military sector and I did not receive any letter about any case against me,” he said. “If the letter arrived and I did not respond to it, then the court would force me to appear.”

The stepmother reportedly claimed that she dressed Ahmad in nice clothes after she beat him up badly. It is claimed she took a taxi to take him to a nearby clinic for treatment, but he died before she arrived.

In the investigation, the woman is believed to have told police that she thought he was unconscious.

She allegedly wrapped the body in a black plastic bag and hid the body in the abandoned building. Police denied reports that the body was cut into pieces after he was killed.
