Egyptian singer Tamer Hosni’s album earned only 150,000 Egyptian pounds the first week after it was released, making it a commercial failure compared to his previous efforts. Actress Ghadah Abdul Razeq’s series “Samara” will be aired only on one Gulf channel after Egyptian channels, fearing a public boycott, refused to air the series.
Abdul Razeq stood against the Egyptian revolution and expressed her support for Mubarak’s regime.
Legendary actor Adel Imam is also facing heat for his position against the revolution after it was announced his serial “Nagy Attalla's Team” would not be aired during Ramadan.
