- ISLAMABAD: US Assistant Secretary of State for International Narcotics and Law William Brownfield discussed issues related to security, law enforcement and counterterrorism measures during his meeting with Interior Minister Rehman Malik here on Tuesday.
He also stressed Pakistan should clear its perception about war on terror.
Brownfield, who is in Pakistan to represent the US at the fourth ministerial-level strategic dialogue, also discussed the various factors behind terrorism in Pakistan, sources said.
Officials said matters pertaining to the “war on terror” and the state of relations between the US and Pakistan in the aftermath of the Abbottabad operation, was also discussed.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was also scheduled to visit Pakistan for Pak-US strategic dialogue.
