In my view every citizen in India has equal rights and there is no place for religious fundamentalism. But there is problem with our judicial and political system and people do not get punished for so many things including the 2002 riots and that is frustrating.

India has its own way of dealing with people like that. It is only because of Gujarat that BJP lost so many NDA allies and are not able to come back to power at the center. Gujarat is still bringing back Modi because Gujarat is the fastest growing state in India and fully electrified with no power cuts even in villages.

Since 2002 India has learned the lesson. India is evolving. Our fabric is secular, more and more people are determined to protect it. On the flip side, 300,000 Kashmiri Pandits are still living as refugees in their own country because of terrorists and no Muslim is fighting for them or their rights, but many Hindus are fighting for justice for the 2002 victims.

So things are a bit complex than you think. One community cannot ask for everything if they are not willing to learn and evolve in the changing world. Fight must go on for justice but important thing is to move on. One should not see things in isolation.
