- VIENNA: Greek Foreign Minister Stavros Lambrinidis is defending the ban on Gaza flotilla ships leaving his country’s ports, saying it conforms with Greek law.
Lambrinidis also says Greece is ready to bring aid to Palestinians that the Gaza activists had planned to deliver.
Lambrinidis spoke to reporters Thursday after meeting with Michael Spindelegger, his Austrian counterpart. He also said that “not a single euro” being pledged to save Greece’s economy from default will be wasted.
